It is so important for young girls to feel beautiful and be
confident. A great way to build this self esteem is to play dress up! Moms –
don’t you remember putting on your mothers lipstick and doing your hair with
scrunchies and pins everywhere?! Well it is vital that your young angels do the
same and we encourage you all to play dress up games!
Clothing for teens and tweens can be great for dress up; use
party dresses, graphic tees, tank tops, shorts,
printed boy shorts, printed leggings, maxi skirts, skater dresses, or anything
really! Use Halloween costumes, dad’s old ties, mom’s old hats, just get
creative and have fun! Pretend you are going to a royal dinner, or a beach
bash, or even a red carpet event!
Another great girls dress up game
that you can play with friends is a game of speed! It can be played with as
little as two girls, or as much as…well… as many as you want! Set up two piles
of clothes equally, making sure that each pile has the same types of clothes
and an equal amount. Have a person stand in front of each pile. Then on your
marks, get set, go! See who can fully put on the outfit, and take the outfit
off first! …Change it up a bit, and depending on how many people you have
playing, you can have a relay race of people putting on and taking off clothes
to see which team completes the race faster!
